Mackenzie,
Today you are three months old! Where is the time going? You are the best thing that has ever happened to your daddy and me! We love you SO much...you will never know!
You went to the doctor yesterday for a check-up. You gained one pound in the past month to put you at 12 pounds (50%) and you grew two inches to make you 24.5 inches tall (90%)!
You laughed this month for the first time. We thought you had laughed a few times but on October 15, I knew for sure! I was kissing your feet and you were just laughing away. I thought it was because I was kissing you, but then I realized my ponytail was brushing you across the face and that is what you thought was hilarious! Now you laugh a lot and it is music to our ears!
At the doctor's office yesterday, you laughed and laughed and really impressed the nurse. She said babies your age don't normally laugh like that. She said they normally smile and coo, not giggle! :-)
You noticed Max and you like to just stare at him!
You went on your first vacation to Wilson, North Carolina! You rode 11 hours in the car and you did great! You got a little fussy the last hour on the way there, as well as on the way home.
You met your Great-Great-Aunt Edna, and cousins Ann, Tim, Chris, Jennifer, Eddie, and Emma.
You got to see the exact spot that Daddy proposed to Mommy!
You really enjoy your activity gym and love to touch and grab the hanging toys.
You also started grabbing things that have not been placed in your hands (the diapers when you are getting changed, your toys, Mommy's hair).
You started covering your face with your arms and hands while you sleep...adorable!
You've started putting everything in your mouth already!
You just learned to lick your lips and blow bubbles!
You are eating 5 ounces every 4 hours. You started getting half formula/half breastmilk on our vacation and it seems to work for you so we've continued that.
You are like your daddy and mommy and really like to sleep!
You are so close to rolling over but haven't yet. We think it might be soon!
