Five Months

My Sweet Mackenzie,
You turned FIVE months old at the end of December!  You are growing SO incredibly fast.  We love you so much! 

This is what you were up to in December:

• We didn't go to the doctor this month but I weighed you on the scale and I think you are about 15 pounds and I TRIED to measure you (but you are a wiggle-worm!!) and I think you are about 27 inches long).
• After we got home from Arkansas for Thanksgiving, you decided you did not want to take naps anymore.  For most of this month you only took two 30 minute naps each day.  You are doing much better now and are back to two 1-2 hour naps. 
• You still sleep from about 9pm to 8am or 9am.  I usually change your diaper before I go to bed around midnight (or 1...or 2...).   
• You rolled over for the first time on December 6 from back to belly and then a week later from belly to back!
• You experienced your first snow.
• You would talk to Max all day long if he would sit next to you.  As soon as you see him you LIGHT UP!  You laugh and talk as soon as you see him.  If you're cranky, I call him over and you cheer right up. (Thanks Max!)
• You started taking baths in the tub part of your bathtub.  You were in the sling but now you're a big girl!
• We started eating cereal this month!  You are doing great with cereal and it is a lot easier once we got a highchair!
• Of course, you had your First Christmas!  You LOVED opening presents and ripping the wrapping paper off. 
• We travelled to Indiana on Christmas Day to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Bill and all of Grandma's family.  There were 27 people there and you did AWESOME!!
• You met your great-grandpa and great-grandma in Indiana.  You also met your great-aunts and great-uncles Ron, Karen, Terri, Mike, Kregg, Jeanine, Layne, and Paula and your cousins Chad, Jenny, Miles, Charlie, Jake, Nate, Taylor, Corey, Emily, and Steve.
• You have learned how to find your paci in the middle of the night and that is HUGE!  No more making mommy come find it for you!

Mackenzie girl, Mommy and Daddy love you so much and we need you to slow down on your growing!  You are learning so much and getting so big!  You are a fabulous baby and we just can't get enough of you!
