Go Blue Jackets!

Waylon has wanted to go to a hockey game since we got here since Columbus has a NHL team.  Neither one of us knows much about hockey, nor do we care to watch it very much.  But Waylon had never been to a hockey game and I had never been to a NHL game so we had hoped to go to one at some point during our stay in Columbus.

Last week at the Chili cook-off, one of Waylon's friends won a basket of gift cards at the silent auction.  It also included 4 tickets to a Blue Jackets game.  Waylon paid her about half the face value (they're actually kind of expensive...we would much rather go to a Bengals or Browns game for that price!!) and we went Thursday night!  It was so fun!  I had no clue what was going on but it was fun!

We got there late and the score was already 2-0 and apparently there had been 2 fights.  We got there about 4 minutes into the game!  We ended up beating Chicago Black Hawks 8-3.

Our seats were awesome!  They were technically the 4th row but there were no seats in front of us because it was the area that the EMTs and Firemen sit.  So basically front row seats...kinda.

We only saw one or two fights:

Nash played on the Candian Olympic team, which means he has a Gold Medal:

Smashing into the glass in front of us.  Up close and personal...

After a while, all my pictures looked the same...

And PS...We're the blue team  :-)
